If you have a Property Preservation clean up business , do not forget to market your business.

Property Preservation Clean Up Business

If you are just starting your property preservation clean up business or you have been in business for sometime, you need to be marketing your business. That way you can keep the work coming in. Without people knowing that you are out there, you will have no work to do.

These are a few ways that you can get started with little or no money. Some of them just take time to do them. Make sure that you do at least two of them. Do them regularly-without fail and your business will go places very quickly. This helps your personal economy as well as the countries-your are putting people to work as you grow.

Do you have a website?

All or most of the people that you are targeting are on the web. For a property preservation clean up business the people that you are targeting are:

Real estate agents

Brokers

Bankers

Investors

Landlords

Home owners

And even other property preservation clean up business

Most of these people are on line because that is where people are looking for the services that they offer, that is where you need to be as well. So if you do not have a website you need to get one. That helps you to stand out among the other property preservation clean up business.

There are some good free places that can help you build a website. Make sure that you read the policies and procedures. You want to own the site not them own the site. Get your own domain name as well.

A website gives you a more professional look.

You will have to do some work to get it noticed. You need it on the first page or two of the directories of the search engines like Google. If you are on page 100, no one is going to know that you have a website.

We will not get into how to get your website higher in the search engines at this time, just know that you can not just put up a website and forget it then think that it will work for you. (Note: if you are on Facebook or Twitter let people on these sites know that you have a website and invite them to visit your site. )

How do you want coming to your website:

Real estate agents

Investors

Landlors

Home owners

and even other property preservation cleanup companies

Do you have a blog?

What is a blog. It is an online journal.

If your blog is linked to your website than this will help you get noticed in the search engines as well. Make sure that the blog has to do with your business and website, not just something that has nothing to do with your business.

This is a good place for you to let people know more about your property preservation clean up business and what you do. It is a good place to put photos of properties that you have done work on-before and after photos.

The posts do not have to be long, but let people learn things from them as well.

If your blog is linked to the website then as you post more things to the blog then the website gets a boost as well. Search engines like new content. Blogs give new content. They need to be added to at least once or twice a week. If you can do it everyday that would be even better. One or two paragraphs is often just fine for a post. Add some photos to make it interesting and you are done.

What do I write about? That is the next question. Here are some ideas:

How you do the services that you provide.

Who is your target market? Help them with tips and pointers.

How can you help them to do there jobs better and faster.

What can you teach others that will keep them coming back for more.

These are a few ideas of things to write about. Sometimes it works best to keep it short, sweet and to the point. Other times make it a bit longer, but full of good information that your target market can use.

Are you marketing online and off line?

Here are somethings that can be done online and off line.

Newsletters can be done online and off line.

Placing ads in newspapers and online ad posting sights as well.

Sales letters online or mailed out.

Now that we have somethings that can be done online and off line lets talk about them one at a time.

Newsletters:

They can be done once or twice a month. Make sure that it goes out the same time every time. Make sure that it has the same look and feel as your website, business cards, etc. Your property preservation clean up business logo and colors.

A newsletter is a good way to get a mailing list started. People sign up to get the newsletter and that gives you their information that you can send other things out to them about.

A newsletter needs to have these things in it:

Relevant content for your target market.

Keep it short and sweet-between 200-1000 words.

Keep it on your target market-real estate agents, mortgage brokers, investors, banks, landlord, home owners, etc.

Keep a consistent look and feel to it, as your website, business card and other things that you send out.

Make sure that it goes out on time every time.

A newsletter can be sent out online or through the mail on a paper that they can hold in their hands.

Ads:

Ads can be done online and off line. You can put them in the “service area” for ads for this kind of business. Most people know what ads are. Ads in news papers cost some money.

There are some online ad sites that are free.

You might have a hard time writing them at first. A good way to start learning how to write a good ad is go look at the ads that are in the paper. The ones that catch your eye are the ones that you want to follow. Use Bold print, Italics, Underline things to make them stand out. A word here or there not the hole thing. A little goes a long way.

Keep track of where people are coming from that way you know what is working and what is not working. The ones that are working keep them and change the ones that are not working. Change one thing at a time or you will not know what made the difference in the ad.

Sales letters:

Sales letters can be sent by mail or by email- so online or off line. It works the same. It is a good way to get the word out about your property preservation clean up business. The things that you should put in it are:

Who you are.

How to get in touch with you: phone, email, website, etc.

The services that you offer.

If you give estimates.

If you are licensed and insured.

If you are offering specials or discounts, (if they say that they got this sales letter.)

Email marketing can be very cost saving. You will need an account with a company that does auto responders. (The auto responder can also help with the newsletters-sending them out.) You need a list to send it to as well.

Sending the sales letter by mail you have the cost for envelopes, paper, stamps, printing if you have a lot of them printed at one time. There are companies that help with that as well. They do the printing and the mailing for one cost.

Post cards:

Great use of off line marketing is the use of post cards.

They are another way to market your property preservation clean up business. You can print them up and mail them out with less cost than a sales letter. They are a good way to introduce your business to people that might be your customers at a lower cost.

You can not fit much on the post card so you will need something to follow it up with. That is where the sales letter come in at. Post cards are a very good way to get your foot in the door, so to speak.

Post cards are short and sweet. They give a good introduction of your property preservation clean up business to new prospects. They can also be used to let people know of deal that you are running at the time. If they are a first time customer you will give them a discount or something for free. All these kinds of things are great to put on a post card.

Email Marketing:

This is great for your online customers that you already have and to get knew customers.

We already spoke of sending out sales letters by email. Remember you do not want to send a sales letter every time that you email people. They will quite opening them. Mix it up. Send out helpful tips that can help them in there business as well. Teaching them something makes it more enjoyable to receive, than always saying buy my product, buy my product.

Make sure that they always have your website link and other information at the bottom of each email.

Article marketing:

Write articles and submit them to places on the web that take the articles. Make sure they are to your target market and that they are 500-1000 words long. Use key words that a lot of people use when they are searching for things. That way your article will be found in the search engines and your articles will be brought up.

People that have newsletters like these articles and will reuse them in the newsletters and your information goes out with it as they use the articles. They do not have to write every word that goes into the newsletter that they are sending out . They like that. You get more exposure than if you just put it on your blog. ( It is good to put it on your blog as well for your on use.)

Hint: You can turn a blog post into an article if it is long enough.

These are some ways that you can market your property preservation clean up business at little to no cost. Choose two or three of them to do that you will do regularly. Your business will grow and you will be happy that you did.

This marketing can work for any business that you might have. It helps you to get the word out and grow your business. Do it regularly and you will keep growing.

Now go market your business.
