then if it is just a key in knobe lock try some waterpunp plyers on the knob.
if it is a dead bolt take a cordless drill with you and drill 2 holes thrue it on the face of it on eather side of the key slot but just a bit low at say 4 and 8 oclock this is where the scrues line up from the other side.

Personally our company only picks the locks it is a sign of a professional that can pick a lock as compared to the one that pry's a door, kicks it in, or brakes a window to gain entry. I have seen it all done in 22 years in this industry. The latest trick I have seen is some preservation contractor used a porta power unit and place it-in the jam of the door at 20lbs of presure across the jam and any door will open.
